UnCategorized Atul Agnihotri was born on 24 June 1970. Agnihotri began his career in Bollywood as a child artist at the age of 13 with Basu Chatterjee’s PASAND APNI APNI (1983). The film had Mithun Chakraborty in the main lead, Atul’s cousin sister Rati Agnihotri was in the female lead alongside Utpal Dutt. Career As an Actor (1993-1994) As an adult, Atul Agnihotri started his career with Mukesh Bhatt’s film SIR (1993). SIR (1993) is one of the better Bollywood films directed by Bhatt. Naseeruddin Shah and Pooja Bhatt have played the other two lead characters in the film. Atul played role of Karan, a young boy in the film. After SIR (1993), he was seen in the director Sanjay Gupta’s AATISH (1994). Though Nana Patekar was the main lead in the film, Atul’s contribution as a supporting actor in the film was worth appreciating. After the success of KRANTIVEER (1994), director Mahesh Bhatt signed him for his next film NAARAAZ (1994), which was released on 19 August 1994. It was Atul’s last film of the year. In NAARAAZ (1994) Atul played a role of a wealthy author Ajay Pandit. Mithun Chakraborty, Gulshan Grover, Pooja Bhatt and Sonali Bendre were the other leads in the film. (1995-1996) In 1995 Atul was seen in Vikram Bhatt’s action film GUNEHGAAR (1995). Mithun Chakraborty and Pooja were playing the other lead characters in the film. The film was mostly hit for its songs. The music was .posed by Shyam-Surender (The assistants of the music director duo Nadeem-Shravan). The song ‘Rain Is Falling Chhama Chham Chham’ sung by Kumar Sanu in the film was one of the best songs in 1995’s Bollywood. Atul’s next film of the year VEERGATI (1995) was an action packed film directed by K. K. Singh. Released on Sept 29, 1995, VEERGATI (1995) had Salman Khan, Himani Shivpuri, Pooja Dadwal, Akhilendra Mishra and Kulbhushan Kharbanda in the film. Atul played the role of Shlok, a prostitute’s (Himani Shivpuri) son, who is adopted by Hawaldar (Kulbhushan Kharbanda). Pooja Dadwal plays Pooja, a rich girl, who is Atul’s love interest in the film.
